Space-efficient vertical expansion
Designed with real-world constraints in mind, the TYPE 40 system expands vertically to keep its footprint small without compromising performance or accuracy.
TYPE 40 System components can be stacked together using ISO PUCK acoustic isolators or stands, such as those provided by Sound Anchors. Whatever solution you use, the TYPE 40 Main monitor and XTD modules feature matching cabinet dimensions and simply require that physical alignment is maintained.
TYPE 40 System Measurements
The following graph shows the frequency response for the TYPE 40 Main monitor and TYPE 40 XTD Module.
Expand and customise as needed.
Built around the complete, full-range TYPE 40 Main monitor, the TYPE 40 System can add one to three active XTD modules per channel. You start with what you need and expand when you want.
Designed with real-world situations in mind, the TYPE 40 system also allows you to customise different aspects:
- Four XTD operating modes: Front-fire ported, front-fire closed, cardioid ported, and cardioid closed.
- Scalable low-frequency output: Up to 15 dB more maximum SPL at 50 Hz than the Main alone, with three front-fire ported XTD modules per channel.
- Cardioid rear-radiation reduction: Up to approximately 10 dB, with the effective frequency range determined by the selected configuration.
- Time-aligned system: With the HEDD Lineariser set to zero phase mode, the Main and XTD modules are aligned in time for a coherent impulse response. Simply switch to off for tracking and real-time performance.
- Connectivity: Balanced analog XLR and AES/EBU digital inputs with signal-through for flexible system wiring.
